A man takes on a project to honor his beloved. Gladly, he starts the inspired tribute ... an ice sculpture. Knowing that his beloved is loved by many, the man asks others to contribute to the project. Many volunteer their help. the ice-sculpture is beautiful.
At some point, others start to join in, not knowing that this is for the honor of the host's beloved, nor do they know his beloved nor do they appreciate nor love as the others. They are merely practicing, or killing time, on the project, and when the host returns, he sees that much of the sculpture has lost its beauty, by those whom care not about the tribute.
With grief, the host tells all to go away, unless you love his beloved as he does. He points to all around there are places to practice ice-sculptures where the result is not going to be offered as tributes and they are free to go to any of these other places to doodle, but they are no longer free to doodle on his project. Then he takes all the doodles of the misguided and cuts them away from the sculpture. Leaving only that which was inspired by love.
Grumbling the outcasts say to the host, "What is wrong with you?!? The others don't mind our doodles, so let us back in and we will doodle again on your project like we do elsewhere."
But the host has ignored them and locked the door. All the workers soon get lost in their labor of love and forget those that disrupted their project as it nears completion.
This was inspired ... and yes, I can tell when that happens.
