Today's Story

ice artA man takes on a project to honor his beloved. Gladly, he starts the inspired tribute ... an ice sculpture. Knowing that his beloved is loved by many, the man asks others to contribute to the project. Many volunteer their help. the ice-sculpture is beautiful.

At some point, others start to join in, not knowing that this is for the honor of the host's beloved, nor do they know his beloved nor do they appreciate nor love as the others. They are merely practicing, or killing time, on the project, and when the host returns, he sees that much of the sculpture has lost its beauty, by those whom care not about the tribute.

With grief, the host tells all to go away, unless you love his beloved as he does. He points to all around there are places to practice ice-sculptures where the result is not going to be offered as tributes and they are free to go to any of these other places to doodle, but they are no longer free to doodle on his project. Then he takes all the doodles of the misguided and cuts them away from the sculpture. Leaving only that which was inspired by love.

Grumbling the outcasts say to the host, "What is wrong with you?!? The others don't mind our doodles, so let us back in and we will doodle again on your project like we do elsewhere."

But the host has ignored them and locked the door. All the workers soon get lost in their labor of love and forget those that disrupted their project as it nears completion.

This was inspired ... and yes, I can tell when that happens.

Amen and Amen...

The Spirit of the Lord has given you perfect understanding of His will in these things...

I have never seen anyone so blessed with the gift of metaphors as I see the Lord has blessed you.

To God be all glory and praise, and to the Lamb.

I hear and see and understand. The best that Jesus gives to me here, I will return to Him. All honor, and praise, and glory, that all who enter here may find respite from the world. A different place not a like place. A place that directs all to Jesus and celebrates all that He does in the hearts of men and women who fully belong to Him.

This my heart's longing as the world tries hard to swallow me as the one in opposition barrels down on me again. Don't forget to pray for me and please my little Isaiah and Andrea. My children are my heart and that is where Satan loves to hit me best.

Hey Pam,

How are you feeling? I remember praying for you because you were sick (or am I mistaken?)

Pam, we all prayed for you and your children today during online Bible study.

Just wanted you to know...
Take courage the Lord is with you always even to the end of this age and ever after.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for praying. I was told I had a kidney tumor but when I had the CAT to place it for surgery, it had disappeared!

I still have a lot of health problems including a rare blood disease called Mixed Cryoglobulenemia Syndrome. It causes a lot of pain and affects all the systems of my body. I have a lot of scary symptoms and doctors know very little about it or what to do for it. The pain is from inflamation in the small to medium blood vessels and also my blood begins to gel at temps less that 70 degrees. It makes me very aware of how tenuous life is. I'm coping fairly well. It is getting cold now though so looking forward to the long winter cooped up inside kind of gets the best of me. I'm going through kind of a mourning period in that I am mouring the loss of my independence and my old life. However, I know God has a reason and I know this process will reveal much more of Him to me as have all the difficult circumstances of life.

Thanks for caring enough to remember.

Of course.

He Who began a good work in you is faithful to complete it. Christ not only authors our faith, but He finishes it as well. He's faithful & His mercies are new every morning.

All the best to you...

Timothy,

I don't know how I missed this post. Thank you for praying for my kids. I think things have settled down but it is a continuing struggle. It's a long story but continue to pray that God would intervene in all of my children and grandchildren's lives.
