Post details: HUMILIDENCE

Not a word, right?

Even the spell check doesn't like it.

Well, I think we might have to invent the word humilidence.

Humilidence: The delicate balance between humility (of one's self) and confidence (in the Lord) that each Christian must attain.

I know I'm a nobody, yet He has chosen me before time.
I am too weak to even lift my own head, yet He will use me to move mountains.
I was dead to sin, yet I am now alive and vibrant in Christ.
I do not like to look in the mirror, yet Jesus does radiate through my eyes.
I was blind to many things, yet I can see clearly now.
I am so poor, yet I have a multitude of gifts piled around me.
I was lost, yet now I'm found.
I fall again and again, yet He pulls me up again and again.
I doubted with my head, but believe with my heart.
I am very afraid, yet confidence abounds.
I am so hungry, yet I am fed with the Bread of Life.
I was chained, and now I am free.
I was in darkness, yet I saw the Light when I realized I couldn't see my way out.

Remember your chains are gone. Go now, be free from this struggle....let go off all these things that you tightly grasp on to. You were once lost, but now you're found.....

O I love this ! thanks for sharing sister. Just wonderful as an exhortation to walk in truth and humility.
Truly, our only confidence can be IN HIM. (!)

blessings and Shalom.

Amen and Amen!

1Co 2:3 -
And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

1Co 15:43 -
It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

2Co 12:9 -
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

2Co 13:4 -
For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you.

Joh 8:36 -
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Ephesians 3:9
and of letting everyone see how this secret plan is going to work out. This plan, kept hidden for ages by God, the Creator of everything,
is for the rulers and authorities in heaven to learn, through the existence of the Messianic Community, how many-sided God's wisdom is.
This accords with God's age-old purpose, accomplished in the Messiah Yeshua, our Lord.
In union with Him, through His faithfulness, we have boldness and confidence when we approach God.
So I ask you not to be discouraged by the troubles I endure on your behalf - it is all for your glory.

Heb 3:6 -
But Christ as a son over His own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

Heb 10:35 -
Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

1Jo 2:28 -
And now, little children, abide in Him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

1Jo 3:21 -
Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

1Jo 5:14 -
And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us:

Mic 6:8 -
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

This is so good! The first time I read it, I thought it was written by Trent...
I'm not saying this to give you a big head and destroy your humilidence.;-} Instead, I am tantalized to read more of what God has to say to us through you.

You know, Pam....this is only the Lord's doing. I think I was telling a friend of mine that when I first "met" Trent I had a bit of trouble comprehending the depth of the words he wrote.(Sorry Trent, to be talking about you in front of you...I promise it's a high compliment) :D I told her that as I grow, my understanding comes....and now, as the Lord has VASTLY opened my eyes to see many many new things (once again, NOT my doing...), I can understand much better. Oddly enough, I can get most of what Trent's trying to say. :) You know why? He's my brother in Christ, and you understand because you are my sister in Christ. All understanding comes from the Lord. Amen and Amen. Thank you Pam, for your kind words. My head has too many holes in it to be inflated too big. They're gaping...:D I'm lucky my brains don't fall out.
