I don't usually get involved in politics as I believe that my time as a Christian is better spent in promoting Jesus but there are times when action is required of us and I believe this is one of those times.

In a few days, Condoleeza Rice will sit down to negotiate peace between the Palestians and Israel. Israel is being asked to make great concessions in order to take part in these talks. They are being asked to surrender much of the natural defenses that are presently available to them in the areas surrounding Israel. Without these natural barriers, Israel will be even more vulnerable to attack than they already are.

I am writing this to ask all who support Israel to call their Senator and ask them to either sponsor or support HB 758 ( 202-224-3121). This bill will require the Palestinians to reveal that which is written in their constitutional documents which call for the utter destruction of Israel and the Jewish people. It is very important that their true intent be recognized.

As I ask you to take political action, I also ask that you take a more sure action, that of prayer. Even though we live in a time that is devoid of true leadership, all things yet remain in the sure hand of God and He is fully in control. Nothing will occur that will surprise Him and in Him is our trust sure. Pray and study prophecy so that you will be prepared for that which is about to take place. We must watch our steps and actions that we be firmly planted on the LORD's side in the coming days. Pray without ceasing as the Holy Spirit directs you to pray. Pray for peace in Israel. Not the peace of backroom negotiations but true and lasting Peace from God that will come only under the Righteous Rule of Jesus Christ.
