www.KindnessInJesus.org is really onto something. I haven't told anybody about how much my mind has been on this. My imagination has been running wild. What could I do if I had thousands of dollars to help people?
From a philosphical view, they are thinking big and expensive. They want to give something in the name of Jesus that is valuable. Lets say that someone is bare-foot, we could easily think of the type of $5 shoes that are available at the Cheapo-Depot, but that just won't due. We need to think about the way we would honor Christ. We need to find the best boot shop, and tell the clerk to fit them with the most comfortable and durable boots in the store. What? You don't have a hat? Fit this man with the best hat that he wants.
Why?
Because, when we have done this to the least of them, we have done it unto the Lord Jesus.
No longer will I think about giving a beggar a meal at McDonald's. Until I see that what I am doing, I am doing for Christ, I know that I have lost my way. I need to see this opportunity to treat Jesus to a big meal. I wouldn't take Jesus to a resturant where I would not even eat. I would take Jesus to my favorite resturant ... and we would save room for desert.
When I think about this, I think ... "This fits! I am suited for this! I really like the way this activity would feel."
Getting started won't be easy. First thing I am going to do is write back to www.KindnessInJesus.org ... and order up some of their cards that read: "This kindness is being shown to you in the name of Jesus."
... then I'll let my imagination run wild!
Rather, grace is the gift of God given to all those who come to Him in faith who believe in the name Jesus Christ and accept His sacrifice into them as the payment for forgiveness of sin. ~ God [Letters from God and His Christ - Volume 2 - I Am the Lord God Almighty!...The Only God!
