Zeke's blog, is a uber-blog. You probably already know that. What you may not know is that Zeke recently introduced Kindness in Jesus through this blog.
I was moved by this organization. Why? Because I like the Jesus that I see in them!
Check it out, from their site:
Our work is accomplished anonymously and freely, with no strings attached, with no call to join the club. A small card accompanies each act of kindness. It simply reads: This kindness is being shown to you in the name of Jesus.
There is no contact name or phone number listed, only post office box and website addresses. Recipients are almost always stunned… And how could they not be provoked to thoughtfully consider the One in whose name the gift was given or the service performed? In summary, we strive to surprise people with the kindness of Jesus, causing them to reconsider who they perceive Him to be.
This link will show you what gift they are giving to whom. But, what they are doing is creatively thinking of ways to give them VALUABLE gifts to those that are most often the disdain of Christian culture ... like abortionists, prostitiutes, aids victims, homeless people, troubled youth, etc.
I sent them an email through the contact on their site. I just wanted to encourage them. This is what it is all about! I mentioned that my TEE SHIRT SHOP had some great designs that would be perfect to wear while on outreach.
I got a reply from Sandy Johns:
Hi, Trent.
Thanks for contacting us and for your kind words. I love your product! Good stuff… It definitely coincides with our intention to cause people to rethink their perception of who Jesus is. My personal favorite is “Jesus loves militant homosexuals.” J Terrific idea about us wearing these when we’re doing outreach!
If you’re ever interested in doing outreaches in your area, we’d love to mail some of our “kindness” cards to you. Just let us know.
Thanks, Trent. Rock on with your efforts!
Sandy
Rock on, Sandy!
Rock on "Kindness in Jesus."
Rock on Zeke, and GraceHeads everywhere.
Let's order some kindness cards, and let Jesus come out and play!
None are forsaken, all are forgiven in the blood of Christ. It is only your rejection of that Truth that keeps you from joy and life. ~ Timothy [Letters from God and His Christ - Volume 3 - All Who Love the Truth Obey and Strive Everyday to Walk in Its Ways]
