Society and the information age have, once again, riveted our attention to the elusive question “Who am I?”.

Infomercials and TV interviews provide platforms for psychologists and other ‘experts’ to spout opinions. Books, newspapers, magazines and even email spam offer the latest fads to ‘find ourselves’. And let’s not forget, reality TV scraps the issue completely screaming, “Forget that question! You just need a MAKEOVER!”

The opportunity to gain attention, acquire influence and make money is driving the search for an answer out of control. The world’s offerings are even being repackaged with Christian verbage that is neither rooted in Scripture nor looking to Jesus Christ for answers.

By checking the Scriptures, we find only two basic identities from God’s perspective. Those who have trusted Jesus for salvation have become children of God. Those who reject Christ remain lost – still dead in trespasses and sins.

When you and I placed our faith in Jesus Christ, we became born again (John 3:3,14-18). At that moment, an internal, spiritual battle started between the old flesh and our new resident, the indwelling Holy Spirit (Romans 7:23-25).

So My loved ones, be blessed as I am blessed...accept your salvation in Christ by way of your repentance to Him and love from Him. Then shall the Spirit come upon you. First as a lightening from your burdens...they have been taken through Christs blood and your acceptance of His sacrifice. ~ Timothy [Letters from God and His Christ - Volume 2 - Seek First That Which is First, This is Where Joy Abounds, Then Comes Wisdom]
