Was Judas the Catalyst for the Crucifiction?

No one was or is ever justified by obedience to the law (Galatians 2:15-17). The law only reveals our unrighteousness and need of a Savior:

“Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith [in Christ] should be revealed. So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith [in Christ]. Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law” (Galatians 3:23-24).

The purpose of the law was never to make men good enough to get to heaven but reveal how far they were from entry into heaven.

This is why Jesus’ parables of the kingdom make heaven and righteousness sound so impossible – IT IS! … Unless you receive Christ and His righteousness. This is what makes the gospel such GOOD NEWS! Jesus has paid the price and now stands at the door of our hearts offering His eternal life if we will take Him at His word that He is: “… able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them” (Hebrews 7:25).
