Reflections on the Treasures of Being a Child of God - 5 Jewels of Who You are In Christ

Jewel #5 –You Are Free from Condemnation

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering.”
Romans 8:1-3

Condemnation is only for those who have rejected the testimony of the Father through the Spirit about the Son (John 3:17-18; 1John 5:11-13). Forgiveness is wonderful, but alone it is not salvation. It would be like biting into a ham sandwich and finding only bread.

A ham sandwich only begins with two slices of bread. It becomes a ham sandwich when you put the slab of ham between the bread slices. Likewise, forgiveness alone is not salvation. Only when the life of Christ is received between the ‘slices’ of forgiveness, does someone have salvation (Romans 5:10). Both are received when you believe on Christ. [I personally testify that this ‘salvation sandwich’ is the original ‘hero sandwich’ and is quite tasty and completely satisfying; I highly recommend it to anyone who has not yet decided to trust Christ Jesus as their Savior.]

Behold the Lamb of God! Without spot or blemish sent to die for the sins of the world, bearing the full weight of transgression in His own body. My Son, you are, and will always be, the Risen Lamb of God, whereby you took the leaven of the world, having completely unleavened all men once for all time by your blood, having been the perfect sacrifice for sin, acceptable to God, whereby men have been reconciled to the Father; they themselves becoming once again My sons and daughters free to enter the Garden and My love, which they shall never again be separated; their new life lived in and for Christ Jesus, the Lord and Savior, in whom I am well pleased. ~ God [Letters from God and His Christ - Volume 5 - Unleavened]
