We Have Become the Righteousness of God in Jesus Christ
"For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." 2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV
By His substitutionary death, Jesus' righteousness has become our righteousness. The only righteousness we ever had, filthy rags or phony self-righteousness, has been replaced by Jesus' own righteousness - the very righteousness of God!
We have been forever changed from unrighteousness to righteousness because the righteousness of God dwells within us. Today, for humanity to encounter the righteousness of God, they must encounter you or me walking in the Spirit (Galatians 5:25).
