"Is it correct to pray for my daughter's protection?"

All of the servants of the Father do many things that are incorrect to
do and not wrought in God. We know that in the thousands of times
that we fall, we have the Shepherd lifting us up as we turn to Him in
our stumbling. He lifts us and forgives us over and over, seventy
times seven and even more. His forgiveness has no end, and He
never turns away a heart that looks to Him.

You are His servant, praying for the sake of your loved one - your daughter.
Understand that the Lord always hears the heart that is turned towards
Him. There is no room for doubt in your faith, so stomp it out and
draw ever near to Him.

The true purpose for prayer is found in the relationship with the Lord
Jesus and the Father. It is not the primary goal to get your wish,
but build a relationship. The wishes of your deepest heart are met in
Him, so draw ever near and all your concerns will melt away.

Have faith, dear servant! Trust Him with all you have. Always turn
to Him with your fears, and know that He is looking out for you, and
loving you with a love that you cannot imagine. He searches your
heart and knows your thoughts before you ask, and longs to draw you up
to Him and embrace you, melting away all things that vex
you in this realm. He wants to give you a limitless refuge from
anything unsteady and harmful. And this is already shown in the
ministry of His Spirit within your heart.

Trust your heart, and see His love ... abandon your heart to Him and
devour His Word (the Bible) as a hungry man devours food to live. Let
Him guide you into His ways, and make your path straight through
understanding and simple obedience to all His commands, empowered by
His Spirit giving you the strength to do all things. And when your
faith has become fully established, you will see that His love for you
extends likewise to your daughter. His love and power is greater over
her than you know. As you grow and mature you can start thanking Him,
for He is already doing many things for which you have been asking
Him. You will no longer be ignorant or faint-hearted with worry, as
your faith and understanding blooms.

Do you know that God is not going to abandon the daughter of His
beloved? But, rescue will come not by your turning His heart, because
His heart is not found with any reluctance to bless your daughter.
So, continue to pray, as it is in your heart to do, but learn to trust
ever more radically His love and find a connection to Him in your
prayers even as a higher priority than to ask Him for things. Make it
your goal to know Him with a deep knowing, and to listen to His
whispers of Truth and Hope that are the voice of the Lord Jesus. In this
you will be a beacon and example for your family and all those that
have eyes to see it. They will see His LIGHT shine through you, for
you are His precious lamp, through whom He longs to shine ever
brighter.
