We Have Been Brought into the Presence of God

"For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit, …" 1 Peter 3:18

Because He took our unrighteousness upon Himself, we have received the righteousness of Christ, and we can enter into the presence of God without fear of destruction or condemnation.

Moses was still dead in trespasses and sins when the Lord called him, directed Him to lead Israel from Egypt and gave him the two tablets. But as 'good' as Moses was, he was only allowed to see the backside of God. You and I have received a higher calling in the New Covenant. We've been called to His side through Jesus, because He put His own Son's righteousness to our account.

I encourage you to enter the Christmas season and begin 2006 by sharing the goodness of the grace of God in Christ Jesus. Wherever you are, let His light and love shine through you; lift Him up and let Him draw people to Himself. …The next time we return to this series, it will be near the Easter season.
