Oh and also this:

"Hear you the word which the Lord speaks unto you, O house of Israel. Thus says the Lord. Learn not the way of the heathen and be not dismayed at the signs of the heaven [astrological signs such as winter solstice on December 25]; for the nations are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain. For one cuts a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman with the axe. They deck it [tree] with silver and with gold. They fasten it [tree] with nails and with hammers that it move not. They [trees] are upright as the palm tree, but speak not. The tree is a doctrine of vanities. Silver is spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the workman, and of the hands of the founder. Blue and purple is their clothing. They [trees] are all the work of cunning men." - Jeremiah 10: 1-5, 8, 9 (KJV)

Now you know.

Take that and the fact that only 2 people are ever mentioned in the Bible as celebrating their birthdays (another pagan practice that comes from astrology,) & they were 2 were the worst of the worst who went on to martyr the Lord's servants. Gen. 40:20-22; Matt. 14:6-10.

So, why are we hell-bent on giving the Lord Jesus the pagan rite of a birthday in the 1st place?

Trent,

I love to see this scripture posted. I was talking to my mom and my sister the other day about how Chritmas comes from a pagan background and how all the things we associate with Chritmas points to Jesus. After talking about that with them later that night I was about to go to bed when I got a phone call from a friend telling me to read Jeremiah 10, he no idea that I had had that conversation with my mom and sister. I have also read God's Holy Days vs. Mens Holidays on the Trumpet Call of God. It was just good to see someone else pulling the same piece of scripture out of the Bible. For me I take this as confromation from God. This is my first time leaving a comment on your site. I love what God is doing through you with this site. All the Glory to God.

Hi Trent,

I think many are 'hell' bent because Jesus has saved a lot of Pagans along with Jews and most don't know any better. There are blessed because God will judge them according to what is in their hearts. However, when we know something to be sin,we best not keep it up just because the economy will collapse if Americans quit celebrating Christmas. Isn't that what tripped up the worshipers of Dianna when they had their chance to embrace Christ?

These days, I don't focus so much on what I shouldn't do on the Dec. 25th as on what I should do to redeem the time. I have ceased, as best I can, from following the dark light of shalt not and avoiding what I fear but instead, my desire is to follow the true Light that is Jesus Who shows me how to overcome and rise above.

I hear you saying that a garden really is about flowers, and not about weeds (nor even about the lack of weeds.) I agree on a deep level, and appreciate your remarks.

God bless you today, Pam.

It also comes down to this:
Christians *should* be aware of what is pagan and offensive to GOD. ... and AVOID IT. - this is wisdom and rightly honoring the LORD and His word.

Now as to how He will Judge those who indulge such things: it is ours to warn and instruct. It is HIS to Judge and deal with them in His perfect understanding of just how much LIGHT they are rejecting in their love of pagan-traditions and practices.

- I think we are probably much in agreement over this issue.

blessings,

Len
