Different Soils in Different Times

The soils ... it may not be 4 types of people but rather 4 stages of revelation ...

Matthew 13 Read This Chapter

13:15
For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.'

13:16
"But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear;

13:17
for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

13:18
"Therefore hear the parable of the sower:

13:19
When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.

13:20
But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy;

13:21
yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.

13:22
Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.

13:23
But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty."

First the revelation hits you and you brush it off as the hard soil. Truth is lost to skepticism, doubt and attack of the enemy.

I identify with the hard soil.

Some time later, you hear and accept what is sewn and has been sewn before only to be disenchanted due to how others respond to your joy and acceptance of it.

Sadly, I know this routine too.

Then the revelation hits you again and Truth has no time to purchase and germinate in you as you are swept up with the things of the world and nothing comes of it.

Been there. Done that.

Then your whole world is turned upside-down / the hard ground is broken and tilled. You are fertile for truth ... the seed lands and finds purchase and grows to be a vital part of who you are ... even firmly rooted therein.

Thank God! He is so persistent with us.

This interpretation, if correct, gives me hope to share and share again, as much as He would have me share ... maybe God will turn a soil's world upside down and the seed will fall and grow this time. As you have noticed in the news ... a great many people are going through this right now. Events are turning the soil and breaking up the hard ground. Stones and thorns are dug up and cast aside ... so let us be ready to cast seeds prayerfully and see what God makes grow!

It is a special time. And it will be hard, but the harder it becomes the more grace we have at our disposal in Jesus ... for He has overcome the world. Amen!

These came to mind:

"Oh peoples planted in the stony ground, be uprooted and planted in the good soil at His right, and drink. For even He, who is, and was, and yet is forevermore, was seated at the right hand of the Father from the beginning. At no time was He not, for as I am, He is. He is the Sower and the Harvester. He is also He who will uproot the weeds. Let Him plant a new seed in your heart, and join Him in the Garden. Do not be burned or cast away. " ~ God

"You have been pruned and replanted in the good soil. Be fruitful, My son. Bear much fruit after the kind I have given you." ~ God

"I have plucked you up and replanted you in the good ground, but you still grow among many thorns, which are choking the Word in you." ~ Jesus

another:

"I am coming shortly to destroy all things that separate you from Me. If I strip away all things of this world, which you have become addicted to, and I take everyone you love from your sight, where do you stand?...You stand in a desolate wasteland completely naked of worldly things and love? What is left, beloved? To whom will you turn?...Turn to God! He has not forsaken you. He sends His Christ into the world to overcome it and gather into His arms that which has become lost and desolate. His love never fades...His love and mercy is everlasting, shown through Me. Why wait until all is lost and unseen? Call on My name, and confess all you have done, and I will separate your sin from you, and cast it away, and remember it no more. To this end, I gave up everything...My power, My glory, My spirit, My very life. I did this gladly, because I foresaw the day when you would be lost and the day you would come to Me. That place inside you, that aches and is so very empty, can not be filled with worldly things and lust...these are a leading away. I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, who was mocked, beaten, scourged and nailed to the cross. I had no sin. I did this for you, My child, so we can be together in My Kingdom to come. In My Kingdom, there is no pain, no tears...even death is not found. Only love will you find there, and all things which flow from the love of the Father. Be no longer separated because of sin. You know what sins you have committed. Know this, to dishonor your mother and father is sin. ... To dishonor your earthly fathers is to dishonor your Father in Heaven. Even this I will forgive...you only need turn to Me.

The Day is coming, the Day is already here, when all those lost are found,
or cast out forever, as the Father wills.

Love awaits you...
come and live inside the Father,
and He shall live in you, and make you new.

Turn your cheek from Him, and He shall turn His
from you with bitter sadness.
Nothing old, or of flesh, can live in the Kingdom...
all must be transformed and made new...
the evil flame of sin extinguished."
