Jesus vs. not-Jesus (round 10)

bell"I am sending you prophets and wise men and scribes; some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city," - Jesus

"No prophets, scribes or wise men will be sent; just people that fit-in, grant you warm-fuzzies, and that you honor in your worship halls, following them from town to town." - not Jesus

Do we have a clear winner? You decide.

Those who are bold to speak prophetically are ALWAYS hounded and rejected (and often) despised by the status quo who don't like anyone to "make waves" or "rock the boat."

Jesus wins again.

And (as always) grace is for the humble and the repentant, ... *not* for the know-it-alls.

True believers of any religion are persecuted at one time or another. It is true that prophets are persecuted but that isn't the mark of a true prophet. However, what Jesus said is true and the other statement false.

I serve , the Lord.

Please enter the name of the Lord (the Risen One) into the entry area BEFORE clicking on the Send comment button.

Hint: the version of the name is the English version, not the Hebrew way to say His name. All letters are uppercase. Rhymes with "freeze us."
