What are the chances there might be another way?

Zero.

There is no chance that God will accept anyone by any basis other than faith in God's redeeming sacrifice through His only begotten on the cross of calvary.

His own blood spilled.
His own heart stopped in death.
Spat upon, stripped, taunted, beaten, insulted, abused as love and forgiveness filled His heart (even for those that crushed Him.)

If there is any other basis for acceptance that might have been thought of before the crucifixion, doesn't His death perish those thoughts? We were bought with the greatest price that can be paid ... and that price would not have been paid, if there was some simple way to accomplish the same thing.

Knowing about the death of Jesus and entertaining the notion that there could still be other ways to find approval and acceptance, seems to me to be a insult to God. Could there be a greater insult? I have my doubts.

In Him is peace, righteousness, justification, sanctification, and grace. Freely given to as many as would say "thanks" and take it / relying upon Him. Many look for other ways to His own bitter sorrow and heart-wrenching sadness, but to as many as look to Him and His propitiation at Calvary, there is blessing upon blessing ... grace upon grace ... a treasure beyond compare in the Gift above all gifts. He fulfills all that we look for elsewhere in vain. He is where all the longings of the heart are fulfilled.

His name is Jesus Christ the Lord - Yah-Shua (God Saves, as spoken in the Hebrew tongue!) There is none like Him! Embrace the Lord with all humility, knowing that what He has redeemed is redeemed. Acceptance and love awaits without any hindrance.

Beloved, there is nothing we can do to improve upon our redemption, so let us be thankful.
He is the Way, and every other way is not the Way.

"I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. He, who believes in Me, has eternal life...the Father has provided. Still men create religion in vain hopes to reach God. God has sent His only Son to reach men. What need does the Father have of these religions of the world? He has made the world and all in it; He too has separated right from wrong. The Way is before all men, you need only take it...one path, one way. Take many roads, and they will lead you in many different directions...none to salvation, only confusion. If you then not take the Highway of Holiness, then I ask you, what path do you tread? For if God has laid the bricks of the one and only path, and swept it clean in the Son, then all other paths are full of debris and made by the evil one. This is the crooked path, full of much stumbling. Only the Lord can lift up those who have fallen, cleanse those who are unclean, find those who have become lost, guide those who are found, heal those who are sick, and save those who stand near to destruction. Take the Father's hand, for He is strong...all things are possible through Him." ~ Jesus

Thus Says the Lord God concerning the Way and the Christ:
"This is My Son, in whom I am well pleased...listen to Him. For as the stars in the heavens are beyond the numbering of men, so then is He, called Jesus, who, being the Only Begotten of the Father, is the fulfillment of the Word of God and the prophets throughout all generations, whose fulfillment of which is also beyond the reason and comprehension of men’s calculations fulfilled in a single man.

These things fulfilled in the Son of Man, being mentioned of a few, let it be a sign and awakening. To them of greater understanding, awakened to the knowledge of these things fulfilled in the Son of Man, prophesied, coming to light as a multitude...let it be a wonder. To My children, fully awake and receiving full knowledge of the Truth that, indeed, the Christ called Jesus fulfills all, in every sense, in all manner, every word written, every word spoken, every action within and without, being altogether the All in All of all things...let it be truth undeniable, causing all both small and great, rich and poor, bond and free, to bow before Him, calling Him Lord!

For that sought is the emblazing torch, a waving banner, an ensign to all generations, beyond all question. HE IS WHO HE IS! Jesus Christ, the Lord of Sabaoth, Lord of lords, King of kings!

Jesus, the Christ, is the Messiah, the Holy One of Israel...your King!

Thus says the Lord God of Israel, the God of all creation, the One and Only True God, the Almighty!
I have spoken it, and so it is forever and ever.
Speak of another or deny His name, and suffer the wrath of God,
which shall be poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation.

Thus says the Lord your God:
The Messiah has come, and is come, and is coming quickly, and will come again in His glory.
Watch and behold the mighty and awesome power of the Holy One of Israel.
He shall sit on the throne of His glory, and every knee shall bow.

My will is done on earth as in Heaven.
My Kingdom is come, and His name is Jesus...Christ...the Lord."

Timothy and Trent,

An Israelite acquaintance asked me to look at Matthew 16, where a man asks Messiah, "How do I get eternal life?"

Yeshua responds, paraphrasing, "Keep the commandments"

The man was challenging me, isn't it possible to have eternal life without Jesus?

My best response was simply, if we could keep the commandments perfectly, there would be no need for atonement or sacrifice. But since we cannot keep the commandments perfectly, as we are so prone to sinning, we have the need of a sacrifice, the need for atonement, the need for Messiah's final atonement.

Timothy and Trent, what do you guys think about that question and response? Scripturally sound?

Amen, Judah. As you recall, Jesus told that man "There is one thing you lack ..." And it seems inevitable that anyone attempting to establish a righteousness on their own by obedience to the 10 commands, will find out that there is always "one thing you lack..."

Therefore let us be confident to say that no man will be declared righteous in the sight of God by obedience to the Law.

This does not sum up all aspects of the Law, but it is a useful story about this topic:

A clutz brags about his coordination. However, his confidence is based on ignorance, because all he does is sit around all day upon his hands.
Thus, a wise man (seeing the problem) tells the clutz to get up and fetch some dishes in the kitchen ... and as predicted a crash indicates the inevitable ... the clutz dropped all the dishes! So much for his coordination.
So the wise man gave a command that would reveal to the clutz a problem that he was either unaware of or had otherwise denied ... that indeed he was not coordinated.

And so we read:

Ro 5:20
And the Torah came into the picture so that the offence would proliferate; but where sin proliferated, grace proliferated even more.

Does not a plumb line indicate where a wall is crooked? Indeed it does.
Does the plumb line MAKE the wall straight? It CANNOT.
Yet once straight, the plumb line will match the wall that was made straight by Another!

I am not talking about mere walls and plumb lines, am I? I speak of man and the Law ... and Another (the Lord) that makes straight what the Law shows as crooked.

Ripening still,
Trent

Amen Brothers, and amen again...

Jeremiah 23:6
In his days Y'hudah will be saved, Isra'el will live in safety, and the name given to him will be ADONAI Tzidkenu [ADONAI our righteousness].

Jeremiah 33:16
"When those days come, Y'hudah will be saved, Yerushalayim will live in safety, and the name given to her will be ADONAI Tzidkenu [ADONAI our Righteousness]."

For He bore our sin that He might also become our righteousness... for He has become Righteousness for us and we, being accepted in Him, have been credited unto righteousness, even as Abraham, because we first believed putting all our Trust in The Beloved of Whom we also received, enabling us to walk even a He walked.

Eph 1:6
to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved.

Ro 3:10 -
As it is written: "There is none righteous, no, not one;

Romans 3:19-26
19 Moreover, we know that whatever the Torah says, it says to those living within the framework of the Torah, in order that every mouth may be stopped and the whole world be shown to deserve God's adverse judgment. 20 For in his sight no one alive will be considered righteous on the ground of legalistic observance of Torah commands, because what Torah really does is show people how sinful they are. 21 But now, quite apart from Torah, God's way of making people righteous in his sight has been made clear - although the Torah and the Prophets give their witness to it as well - 22 and it is a righteousness that comes from God, through the faithfulness of Yeshua the Messiah, to all who continue trusting. For it makes no difference whether one is a Jew or a Gentile, 23 since all have sinned and come short of earning God's praise. 24 By God's grace, without earning it, all are granted the status of being considered righteous before him, through the act redeeming us from our enslavement to sin that was accomplished by the Messiah Yeshua. 25 God put Yeshua forward as the kapparah for sin through his faithfulness in respect to his bloody sacrificial death. This vindicated God's righteousness; because, in his forbearance, he had passed over [with neither punishment nor remission] the sins people had committed in the past; 26 and it vindicates his righteousness in the present age by showing that he is righteous himself and is also the one who makes people righteous on the ground of Yeshua's faithfulness.

And this, then, is how the saints of the Most High God are recognized:

...they keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Yeshua the Messiah (Rev 12:17; Rev 14:12). Keeping the commandments not to gain righteousness, but rather because of the Righteous One they received in grace, which now dwells in them, even a reflection of Him in whom they have put all their trust... turning from their sins to God and then doing deeds consistent with that repentance (Acts 26:20).

So then Keeping the Law is not the Way into Life for us, for none of us are perfect, but rather Yeshua is the ONLY WAY into Life, being also its source, making the commandments not only the way sin is defined, but also defining how we are to walk after we have received Life in Messiah and the enabling of the Spirit...

Yeshua is the Author and Finisher... The First and the Last.

Human power is of no use at all...

John 6:63 -
What gives life is God's Spirit; human power is of no use at all. The words I have spoken to you bring God's life-giving Spirit.

P.S. Trent on your comment above:

Isa 28:17 -
I will make justice the measuring line and righteousness the plumb line; hail will sweep away your refuge, the lie, and water will overflow your hiding place.

Thanks guys, good discussion and thanks for the responses.

Timothy, that quote from Romans 3 is a great one, thanks for bring it up. Indeed, the Torah shows us that we are sinful, because we so regularly break it through our weak flesh.

Thank God we have not only atonement, but final atonement that cleans sin and removes guilt. Not that we should use it as an excuse to break the Torah, but as a way to come clean back to God after sinning.

Thanks guys, blessings.
