You might be a GraceHead if ...

Inspired by Jeff Foxworthy's "...you might be a redneck" jokes.

  • IF you pray without ceasing.
  • IF you bask in God's unconditional love and acceptance.
  • IF you are obedient because God loves you even if you are not.
  • IF Jesus is the first thing that you think about in the morning and He is the last thing before you sleep.
  • IF God's commands delight your soul.
  • IF the joy of the Lord replaces your happiness and your unhappiness.
  • IF you are deeply sorrowful about your wickedness.
  • IF you aren't surprised by your trespasses.
  • IF you boast about your weakness.
  • IF you have confidence about the day of judgment.
  • IF Jesus is your best friend.
  • IF you want to share the love of God with your enemies.
  • IF you daily die to self-effort.
  • IF often, the only reasonable explanation for your life is that Christ Jesus lives in you.
  • IF you quickly replace feelings of shame with truth.
  • IF Christ is your righteousness.
  • IF you always look for someone to serve.
  • IF your temper is under control.
  • IF you shed tears more than once a week.
  • IF the Father is your "Daddy."

Isn't God's grace beyond our comprehension?

Amen...

And being a Gracehead rests solidly upon these verses:

Ephesians 2:8-10
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus *for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
[*make sure not to ignore verse 10]

and

John 15:5 -
"I am the Vine, and you are the branches. Those who remain in Me, and I in them, will bear much fruit; for you can do nothing without Me.

and

Joh 6:63 -
What gives life is God's Spirit; human power is of no use at all. The words I have spoken to you bring God's life-giving Spirit.

And those who have truly received of Grace will strive to keep the Law(10 Com.) according to that grace given them...in this does their faith come to its completion and by obedience is their love made perfect.

Does teaching and keeping the Law then make you a Lawhead, certainly not! Rather a true Gracehead knows what is first and then bears fruit according to the Grace He has received in Jesus Christ, walking as He walked. And how did He walk?... Jesus kept the Law, even ALL 10 Commandments.

Therefore, Grace is indeed a gift and cannot not be attained by works, but from that grace, which is also enabling, do all righteous works flow. Starting with the *Moral Law(*"thee good works" as defined by God, written by His own finger, in stone). For to keep the Law is to love God with all the heart, and all the mind, and all the strength, and is to love our neighbor as ourself.

Ro 7:12 -
Therefore the Law is holy, and the Commandment holy and just and good.
