Hey Ma!!!!! Where's The Grace????

"Hey Ma, where's the Grace at Gracehead?" Ma, in the midst of confrontation, looks here and there, and within her own flustered mind. Nope, no Grace there!

"Hey, Trent," Ma calls, "Have you seen the Grace lately? I've got this guy here looking for it and we can't find it." Trent checks his pockets and his desk drawers and looks within his own over busy mind and says, "I don't know, Ma. I'm awful busy these days, can't you guys work it out?"

Ma rubs her weary brow and in exasperation shouts, "Hey, Len! What did you do with the Grace? We can't find it over here at Gracehead! Did you borrow it and lose it somewhere?" Len folds his arms across his chest and stands up straight and answers with this defense, "NO I DID NOT! I MOST *EMPHATICALLY* DID NOT, lose the grace at Gracehead! Why do you CONTINUALLY attack and CONFUSE?!"

Ma, very stressed by now, puts her head down and sighs a deep sigh, "I'm sorry, Len. I'm all stressed out! I can't find the Grace at Gracehead!" Len sighs too and pats Ma on the back, "Don't worry, ask Timothy, He has the view from above! He'll know where to find the Grace at Gracehead! Afterall, Bud has been gone for awhile and Emily is very new, I'm sure they haven't lost the Grace at Gracehead..."

Ma, stands up and shouts, "Oh Timothy! Can you help us? We seem to have misplaced the Grace at Gracehead! I am so distressed! I've asked everyone and all of us have searched every where and even ourselves and the Grace at Gracehead just can't be found!" Timothy sits back in his chair and strokes his chin, "Hmmm. I don't know Ma but I'll check with God. I know He'll give me the right answer and in the right time!"

Then Ma, feeling pressured despite Timothy's assured answer, cries out in exasperation, "Oh, Lord Jesus! Where is the Grace at Gracehead?!" A small still voice whispers in Ma's ear, "My Grace is sufficient for you as it has always been and always will be. The Grace is not at Gracehead. You should not look there for in that website it won't be found. It isn't of you and does not belong to you. The Grace of God is only in Me."

Ma calms down, ruffled feathers smoothed, and turns to the confrontational one and says, "Go to Jesus! He has all the Grace to cover you and to cover me and to free us each from all of our sin."

This brings to a conclusion the mystery of the missing Grace at Gracehead.

Well said. A good reminder for something that often goes unnoticed.

Good Bible reference too.

Hi BB,

Did it make you laugh? I think a good laugh is pretty Biblical too.:0) We all take ourselves too seriously sometimes.

We have all received from His fullness, yes, GRACE upon GRACE.

Laughter is good for our bones....especially my old ones! My husband nearly split a rib when I read it to him!

LOOK, EVERYONE LOOK.....right there to the right of the screen....behind the "Search".....I think I see Grace peeking her head out. :) I know she's here....she is a gift freely given to all, yet humbly accepted by a few of us. Thank You Lord for Grace...and for my own deep need for it.
Thanks, Pam, for taking a moment to share this....:)

Oh. I just saw this. Thanks, Mom. But I want to remind you that having a simple dispute, ... or even correcting someone is NOT lacking in grace. - sometimes it is necessary.
Mostly, it is when people are not forgiving that there is a genuine lacking in grace, ... not because they may have a dispute or think (or perceive) that someone is too much "talking down to others." ... which is pretty much what I 'called you on,' isn't it. ... do you ever find yourself "talking down to others?" - of course you do; do I? Yes. And GOD is the only righteous Judge in all of this, ... yet we must be careful to evaluate WHY? there is a dispute or an objection raised. ... not simply take umbredge at a mild or semi-strong rebuke or objection. ... or (for the matter)imply that the objector is "lacking in grace."

I forgive you, Pam for implying that "I lack grace." I don't think you took my little previous criticism very well. - THAT was the problem, ... not my 'lacking in grace at gracehead.' I think I had a valid point when it was made: my understanding is that it was accessed and resolved, ... I think probably AFTER this article was written (and which I have just now read).

GRACE is expressed largely as *understanding, and *forgiveness. - I extend both to you: perhaps I was a little too strong when I responded to your comments directed at myself and Timothy. ... perhaps also you should be a little more careful about assuming the position of 'judge' over me, my words, and others. - THEN: the lesson would be complete. - and it is an important lesson for all of us.

Shalom, ... (and please don't think or say I've lost my sense of humor.) ... I understand you were trying to defuse things with a little poking fun at all of us.

btw:
I still love you and haven't lost one iota of GOD's grace.

:^)

PS/ When someone "confronts you" on something: the wisest (and most gracious) thing to do is to ask, WHY? did this happen? ... and *did this person have a valid point to make* that (likely) my flesh did not want to hear.

And so often it is always "the other fellow at fault" and not ourselves, isn't it. ?

Humor aside: we all need to be a little more gracious in giving AND RECEIVING correction, disputes, ... or even 'confrontation.'

Thanks for helping me work on my "correction issues," Pam. We both needed this.

Peace. ... better yet: Shalom.

Len,

This wasn't about you at all. It was in regards to a visitors cynical remark as to the grace that was lacking at gracehead. I was poking fun at all of us.
