The Morning Star - Jesus

Bright in the sky at 5 AM this Saturday morning, it glistened. Brighter than anything above, the morning star, brought the hope of sunlight where there appeared to be none.

My pajamas offer little resistance to the cold predawn wind, but I sit and listen to the city bustle below. I am awaiting the glimmer of sky to glow on the horizon. Light gives hope of a new day which is what I like about "the morning star."

Venus (a planet, not a star) is the object in the night-sky that we call "the morning star" ... it shines, as a reflection of the sun, off the dense cloud-cover on Venus. All the light we see from the morning star comes from the sun, and literally we are beholding sunlight before the coming of the sun.

2Pe 1:19 -
Yes, we have the prophetic Word made very certain. You will do well to pay attention to it as to a light shining in a dark, murky place, until the Day dawns and the Morning Star rises in your hearts.

Jesus brings the Kingdom to us, while it is still far off and invisible. He is the Morning Star, and both the fulfillment and the promise of a greater fulfillment of all that God has to offer His children.

Rev 22 -
16 "I, Yeshua, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the Messianic communities. I am the Root and Offspring of David, the bright Morning Star. 17 The Spirit and the Bride say, 'Come!' Let anyone who hears say, 'Come!' And let anyone who is thirsty come - let anyone who wishes, take the water of life free of charge."

I gaze at Jesus, and know ... there is much more to come! The heart bursts with hopeful expectation!

Here.

Comes.

The.

Dawn.

Hope, the desired outcome of our present calling to offer hope in Jesus Christ to a dying world. This great hope will not fade and will accomplish all that is promised.

Hi again Trent,

I just read this and thought that it belonged here with this article.

Isaiah 9:2-7 The people who are now living in darkness will see a great light. They are now living in a very dark land. But a light will shine on them. LORD, you will make our nation larger. You will increase their joy. They will show you how glad they are. They will be as glad as people are at harvest time. They will be as soldiers are when they share the things they've taken after a battle. You set Israel free from Midian long ago. In the same way, you will break the heavy yoke that weighs Israel down. You will break the wooden beams that are on their shoulders. You will break the rods of those who strike them down. Every fighting man's boot that is used in battle will be burned up. So will every piece of clothes that is covered with blood. All of them will be thrown into the fire. A child will be born to us. A son will be given to us. He will rule over us. And he will be called Wonderful Adviser and Mighty God. He will also be called Father Who Lives Forever and Prince Who Brings Peace. The authority of his rule will continue to grow. The peace he brings will never end. He will rule on David's throne and over his kingdom. He will make the kingdom strong and secure. His rule will be based on what is fair and right. It will last forever. The LORD's great love will make sure that happens. He rules over all.

I have just this morning taught this as part of our worship at a Christian drugs rehab in Scotland.....I awoke early as I had to drop my son off at the train station...I had a banging headache and had a really disturbed night..I glimpsed the morning star and immediately my spirit lifted and all you say is true!!
