Righteousness in High Gear

red line

  • Gear 1: God demands righteousness.
  • Gear 2: We give Him our righteousness.
  • Gear 3: He calls what we give Him "disgusting filthy rags"
  • Gear 4: We realize that the righteousness that he demanded is not "OUR" righteousness, but exactly His own.
  • OVER-DRIVE: We abide and bear the righteousness that we could never produce - 100% His by the Spirit.

What I like about the high gears is that we run fast, but not grow weary.
There is no difference in believers; we are all complete in Him. Just some take the exact same equipment and rev high in low gears ... they are burning out and going nowhere.

I've been there.

Lets encourage each other to shift, when we hear someones gear-box whining in the low gears, because we aren't suited for chugging along at the red-line.

Delicious! Reminds me of bombing down the road in my Road Blaster! There's nothing finer!;-} I'll let you guess what the given name of my Road Blaster is because it now has a new name written down in glory...tee!hee! In know, old lady corn-pone stuff. Yesterday was just too heavy. I'm giddy with relief that it is over!

Thanks "Captain Metaphor" or better known as Metaphorman. :-) Ha Ha

Seriously though, I know without a doubt this is a gift of the Spirit, though it is not listed. It probably falls under teacher (and understanding). Also as I said before, and the Bible says the same: To imitate (not impersonate) Christ is righteousness, for He did come speaking in parables and taught us with metaphors.

Blessings in Christ, and have a blessed Sabbath, in the Lord, tomorrow... you deserve it.
