The Name

The Holy Name of Jesus,
Holy Name once foreign to me,
Has quickened me and filled my soul with glory;
Christ in me, my hope of glory,
The Name has become Jesus in me.

I die,
I die daily.
Dear Jesus, please, magnify in me.
Gladly I fade,
And as I fade,
Jesus!
Be radiant in me!

Self's grueling death,
Each day ending,
With victory's rejoicing.
As the void,
Death's creation,
Is filled with Jesus,
Overflowing;
Life satiating my heart,
Sets me free!

Eternal Life;
Life dispelling the shadow of Death;
With the Dawn that is joy inexpressible!
Joy Indestructible!
For the Name has become Jesus in me.

Very beautiful poem and thought, Pam. I think even to "think upon" or meditate upon the glorious Name of Jesus AS THE SAVIOR, AS THE REDEEMER, AS THE LORD, is wonderful in and of itself. His Name, (as you likely know) from the Hebrew and Aramaic: YESHUAh - YahshUah: meaning: "Savior,"
"Salvation,"
and "GOD our Savior." (!)
- Yes: HIS NAME is Wonderful, His name is Wonderful, HIS NAME IS WONDERFUL: Jesus my Lord; He is the Mighty King: MASTER of EVERYTHING ! - His Name is Wonderful, - JESUS, THE LORD. ... He's the great Shepherd, The Rock of all Ages: ALL MIGHTY GOD IS HE...
Bow down before Him; love and adore Him: HIS NAME IS WONDERFUL, JESUS my LORD.
great song; great poem.
all the best and Shalom.

Thanks for the kuddos, Len! It is marvelous what the Name, Jesus has accomplished and is accomplishing in my life and not only my life but the lives of so many over the centuries. That Name carries on and no matter the persecution or the unfaithful witness of those who bear His Name, the Name and the power of it can't be estinquished!

May that Name fill you with God's peace and God's blessings today, Len.---Is that the same somewhat, as Shalom?;-)

I serve , the Lord.

Hint: the version of the name is the English version, not the Hebrew way to say His name. All letters are uppercase. Rhymes with "freeze us."
