"IN the world" ... but not "OF the world"

I am seated with Christ, no more on earth then in the heavens.
In heaven I am a citizen.
Of this world, I am not a citizen.

Fewer countries would accept an American in their borders if they really knew that to which they are agreeing.

Did you know that countries issue passports to people and then the people own the passport. ... except in America. In America, the passport owns the citizen. Countries should know that when they let a citizen of America into their land, that the terms of the passport that they accept inforce that the citizen is property of America, and everywhere they go, everywhere that person stands ... is part of America. America can come in and retrieve that person without violating any country that accepts that passport. After all, America is only taking a citizen that belongs to America, standing in a place that also belongs to America.

So, here I stand on earth, but by virtue of my Eternal citizenship, the creation doesn't know the ramifications of me being inside its borders. Everywhere I stand, is no longer part of the world, though I am in the world none-the-less.

"In THIS world you WILL have tribulation/trials/afflictions/testings...but be of good cheer: I *have*
overcome the world." - one of my
favorite quotes and thoughts from the Master of all masters.
Keep sharing, Trent. great stuff all over this fine site. Have you ever read Philip Yancey's two great classics: WHAT'S SO AMAZING ABOUT GRACE; and THE JESUS I NEVER KNEW. ?
he's a very gifted writer.
be blest always, in Christ. Len
