Each of three rapture doctrines have some merit.

Some people say that there is a pre-trib rapture ... and they are correct in a sense.

Some people say that the rapture is after tribulation ... and they are right in a sense, too.

Others say that the rapture happens at some point mid-way during the tribulation ... and they are correct to some degree.

In truth, we are already in the "Day of the Lord" and have been so for over one year. There are ten years in the "Day" ... seven of which are called the "Great Tribulation." Revelation chapter 2 verse 10 makes it clear that there is ten days of tribulation. We endure 2 more years of tribulation as the birth pains increase and then (after the first harvest) the Day turns terrible, so that all things can be fulfilled.

Here is the sequence as I understand it.

* The Day of the Lord begins (10 years long of tribulation)
* Birth pains intensify (CURRENT PHASE)
* Rapture occurs - the first harvest
* Great Tribulation begins (the second harvest is gleaned throughout the seven years)
* Worldwide panic from rapture / the antichrist seizes worldwide control
* Israel gets a peace agreement that lasts 3.5 years then broken even though it was promised to last 7 years
* Armageddon
* Judgment
* World is cleaned up (rebuilt) by the Lord
* The Day of the Lord ends and the Millennial Reign begins (1000 years)
* After 1000 years ... the mystery of the Eternal state is revealed as New Jerusalem

Amen.

The Rapture is indeed pre-GREAT-trib, but still in the midst of "the ten days of sorrows", because those truly in Jesus and He in they have passed from 'Judgment into life'. And when God's hand is brought DIRECTLY against the world, this, is when He must take His people OUT OF and HIDE them in His house (*please see "Rapture/Gathering Up" Study at TrumpetCallofGod.com and click the icon "Bible/Letter study"). This happens at seal #5, which is the end of the seals 1-4 which are the seals of "letting" (2 Thessalonians 2:6-8) by God and begins the Judgments of God's DIRECT hand or power.

Revelation 6:9-11
9 When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?" 11 Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed.

[*More regarding the "brethren, who would be killed"(martyrs) from above:
Revelation 7:13-14

13 Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, "Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?" 14 And I said to him, "Sir, you know." So he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.]

If you study all the seals you will see that seal 5 is a transitionary seal and is also the revealing of God's hand...then look at seal 6! It gets worse from there!!

*Also, I would add a period when the anti goes nuts and receives full world dictatorship, in between the "Israel peace agreement cut short" and "Armageddon".
Rev. 13:
5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. 6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. 7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.

*And I would add that the "Judgment" on your list is the "First Throne Judgment" - when Jesus takes His seat and speaks the words found in Matthew 25

31 "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.' 37 Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?' 40 And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.' 41 Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.' 44 Then they also will answer Him, F141 saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?' 45 Then He will answer them, saying, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.' 46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

*And one last thing 8^):
On the last one "*After 1000 years...": This will be when satan is released for short season and the rest of the dead are resurrected, which ends with the "Great White Throne Judgment" and the New Jerusalem coming down from Heaven and an entering of the "8th Day" which has no end - eternity with the Lord (Revelation 21:3-4).

Please everyone study Revelation Chapters 20 & 21 for better understanding of Trent's last 2 events listed above.

Thanks Trent for the summary... but the amount of verses and Letters needed to back this up is huge - way to many to paste here...

I've never heard the Day of the LORD broken up like that. That is new to me. It kind of reminds me of another teaching where Christ's warnings to the seven churches is used as an outline of church history with the 'age' of Laodocia being the end of the church age. It is a different way of looking at things but I would have to have more detail reguarding this handling of the Day of the LORD/Day of the Lord and why it is being used as an outline for the Tribulation period. I guess, I don't know how to respond to it. As for the rapture, it is at a time unknown to all but God and could have happened at anytime since Christ's ascension and could still occur at any time until the establishment of His Kingdom. If we're focused on Him and walking according to the Spirit, we'll be doing just what He wants us to even if we don't know exactly what time it is! I used to say that I was pre-trib and I hoped that God agreed with me because I didn't want to live through the tribulation but now I am content not knowing when but knowing for certainty that it will ocurr and I'l be there. I also know that God will take care of me no matter what lies ahead. I used to put great store in correct doctrine and had a false sense of security in it. Then God showed me a better way and that is moment by moment trust in Jesus. No matter what happens when, Trent we are secure in Him. Even if I'm wrong on everything else, I'm okay as long as I'm right with Him. That is genuine security.

Trent and Timothy--my blessed and beloved brothers--thanks for all you post on your sites. I learn many things from you guys. Sometimes I learn nothing, but rather I read what you post and have no understanding so my curiosity gets peaked and I read the scriptures against what you guys say and ask the Lord questions pertaining to what you write and He often gives me the understanding. Other times, He says something to the effect of, "Do your homework, boy! They gave you the site to go to!" LOL Thanks again guys--May the Lord bless you both richly

"RANDOM QUOTES"

Servants, stand up! says the Lord of Hosts. Stand up for Me, and I, even I, shall feed you with knowledge and understanding...the Word of God as your drink, and the knowledge of the Lord as your meat...you shall sing and you shall stand up, you shall shout with a new voice in the face of adversity. And in that very same day, you shall be gone, you shall surely be taken and be found no more in the earth...eternal joy and all tears wiped away in the presence of the Lord, your Redeemer, is your reward, and it shall never again depart from you, says the Lord.
