The Subjects of King Jesus

When Jesus walked the earth more that 2,000 years ago the focus of His ministry was the Kingdom of God. He taught His fellow Jews that the Kingdom was at hand for that Kingdom was beginning to be established upon the earth through Him and in Him for in Jesus the perfect Will of God is carried out upon the earth. Jesus brought the Kingdom of God down from Heaven to man. All who recognize Jesus as the Son of God and as their personal Savior from sin become subjects of this Kingdom at the moment they believe in Jesus as God reveals Him to them. The kingdoms of this world begin to lose all appeal as in Jesus, the Glory of the Kingdom of God is daily, by renewed and deeper revelation, made manifest in the heart and life of the believer. In Christ, we have become citizens of this better and most Glorious Kingdom as our citizenship in this present system along with it's prince, Satan is renounced. At the moment of belief in Jesus, we have become alien to this present world system and Ambassadors for our King Jesus as we declare Peace with God, through the shedding of His blood, to a dying world.

As the subjects of King Jesus our concerns ought to be His concerns and our efforts should be focused upon the furtherance of His Kingdom as we live our lives in surrender to Him that the Will of God would continue to be done upon the earth. Jesus teaches us to put the concerns of God's Kingdom first in the model of prayer that He gave us. Matthew 6:9 "This, then, is how you should pray: "Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your Name, Your Kingdom come, Your Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven."

Though the Kingdom of God was established in the earth so long ago in Jesus, the cornerstone and sure foundation of that Kingdom, the remaining kingdoms of this earth have not yet been put down. Indeed, the world is blind to this new Kingdom for it is at this time, a Spiritual Kingdom and invisible to those who are not its subjects. Those who are its subjects must experience spiritual rebirth in Jesus Christ to become subjects of this Kingdom and apart from Jesus the Kingdom can't even be seen.

John 3:3 In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the Kingdom of God unless he is born again." And John 3:5-7 "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.'

The Kingdom of God is not the church. The church is the elect, those whom God has given to Jesus as the first fruits of His Redemptive work which will be made complete in all the earth at the end of His visible earthly rule that is yet to come and will come only when Jesus returns with His glorified church.

Isaiah 8:18 Here am I, and the children the LORD has given me. We are signs and symbols in Israel from the LORD Almighty, who dwells in Mount Zion. AND John 6:37-40 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. For I have come down from Heaven not to do My will but to do the Will of Him Who sent Me. And this is the Will of Him Who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that He has given Me, but raise them up at the last day. For My Father's Will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. AND John 6:44 "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.
In this fashion, God has been working through the Power of His Holy Spirit to call out from this present world those who in Christ who will be made fitting subjects for the Kingdom of God when it is visibly established upon the earth. Indeed, these redeemed individuals both Jew and Gentile will not only be subjects in this Kingdom but will rule and reign with Christ.
Revelation 20:4-6 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the Word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.
During this present Age of Grace, the Holy Spirit has been busy working through believers in the calling out of this company of born again saints in Christ and preparing them for the work that lies ahead in the Age of the Millenial Rule of Christ. At this time, God's government will be fully restored as a true theocracy. It will not be a false theocracy as the world has previously known, a government run by a man who claims to be a god but is only a corrupt and sinful human being. The Righteous government of God in Christ Jesus will bring to earth the direct rule of God over all who dwell upon the earth. Jesus Christ will be recognized by all as King. The redeemed that He brings with Him will fill the offices of judge and priest. As He rules with a rod of iron, a rod of strong discipline, sin and death will be fully put down and meet their ultimate end at the end of time. The end of this Righteous Rule of Jesus Christ will bring the full Redemption of all things to God the Father.

Those who are presently of the elect, that called out company in Christ, will never die but will sleep in Christ until they return to rule and reign with Him.

I Corinthians 15:51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed--in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. AND I Thessalonians 4:13-17 Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant abut those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him. According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

There will be yet others who enter the Kingdom that are not of this called out company gathered during the Age of Grace. There will also be the 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel who will teach, preach, and prophesy during what is commonly called the Great Tribulation. This is a time of great sorrow, pain, and death that has not yet been known to any who have lived upon the earth. Under the tutelage of these sealed servants a great multitude from every tribe, nation, and tongue will come to faith in Jesus and be given white robes to wear as they stand before His throne giving praise and honor to their Lamb and King. This is prophesied and written in Revelation chapter seven.

Isaiah 11:12 He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel; He will assemble the scattered people of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

Jews and Gentiles alike will enter the Kingdom of God but none will enter in their natural state. All who enter that Kingdom must be born again. They must enter through the Gate and that Gate is Jesus.

I Corinthians I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot in inherit the Kingdom of God, nor does perishable inherit the imperishable.
The church will return with Christ being made just like Him, fully glorified, in bodies that can never die. Those who enter the Kingdom at the end of the Great Tribulation must enter in the same way as those who have already been redeemed. Whether they be Jew or Gentile, they must enter through Jesus and they will. None who enter that Kingdom will be carnal but all will have been made spiritual in Christ Jesus.

Israel will recognize her Messiah and be at peace with God. The fullness of their acceptance will bring Peace to all the earth and ultimately, the resurrection of the dead and final judgment carried out by Jesus the Christ. Ephesians 1:9-10 And He made known to us the mystery of His Will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times have reached their fulfillment--to bring all things in Heaven and on earth together under One Head, even Christ. All this to the praise and glory of God.

Do not delay! Enter the Kingdom today! Receive Jesus and be received by Him. Receive the Kingdom and pray for Peace in Israel as we wait for the fullness of that Kingdom to come. Come Lord Jesus! Amen!
