PART 2 ~ An Illumination of THE LORD'S PRAYER . . .

The Overcomer's Prayer
and Putting on The Whole Armour of GOD . . .

Heavenly Father, lead me not into temptation, but DELIVER me from evil; deliver me from the evil one; deliver me from my enemies; deliver me from all deceiving and seducing spirits; deliver me, O LORD, for Thy mercies' sake, for I am Your servant and in You do I place my trust all the day. You are my joy and my salvation, my provision, my protection, and my portion in this life. I look to Thee and trust in Thee, - my Saviour and my GOD, - for truly YOU ALONE are LORD over all.

I am determined, Heavenly Father, through Your help and grace, not to let
satan take advantage of over me. I believe that You will provide a way of
escape from all snares and temptations of the flesh and the evil one. Truly, my strength cometh solely and wholly from Thee as I now clothe myself: head to foot, with THE WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD . . .

First, I place on my head THE HELMET OF SALVATION, - and with this I shelter my mind from satan's attacks of doubt, deception, discouragement, and depression. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ I command all lying spirits, all seducing spirits, and all hindering spirits to be bound and cast out and cast forth from my presence N O W as I place the helmet of salvation upon my head and stand in all the glorious victory of the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank You, Heavenly Father,
for the assurance and the completeness of my salvation found in Christ, The Lamb of GOD, at Calvary. I ask that You cover and clothe me now with the Mind of Christ, and that You bring every thought, feeling, affection, and perception into captivity to the obedience of Christ as THE LORD of my life. - I fully acknowledge His Headship, His Lordship, and His absolute authority in every area of my life. - THY KINGDOM COME, THEY WILL BE DONE in all that I think, say, do, and desire. Lead, guide, direct, protect, and correct me this day and every day by Your Spirit,
O LORD, that I would truly be a willing vessel separated and sanctified unto Thee, through Jesus Christ, Your Most Beloved Son and the Saviour of all. Amen.

Next I take THE BREASTPLACE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, which is the righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ, in Whom I trust, and to Whom I look for my complete salvation and sanctification. I ask that You purify, protect and shelter my heart, Heavenly Father. For truly out of the heart comes forth the issues of life. Guard my heart with the breastplate of righteousness that I may walk in purity, holiness, and humility this day and every day, for Jesus' sake. Amen.

Next I take THE BELT OF TRUTH, and I ask, Heavenly Father, that You gird me about with Your TRUTHe. Teach and instruct me that I may walk before Thee in complete honesty, integrity, and in all transparency of thought, word, deed, and desire. Help me to abide always in Your Word, Your Truth, and Your Perfect Will. Amen.

Next I shod my feet with THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE, and I ask that You give me peace, strength, stability, and boldness to declare and proclaim The Gospel. - That Jesus died, was buried, and rose again to save all who would turn to Him in repentance and trust. I pray that You would help me to declare this glorious truth to those You would send in my path today. Let me be fearless in this, Holy Father. Let me speak it forth with wisdom and love and true
conviction by The Holy Spirit. Let there be "peace on my feet" because of the authority and and victory of the Lord Jesus Christ, by Whom I tread
over all the powers of the enemy !

Next I take to myself THE SHIELD OF FAITH, - and I lift up that shield knowing that it does not keep me from the battle, but mightily protects me in the midst of it. I thank You, Heavenly Father, that with this shield of faith I am able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked on. I ask that You quicken, strengthen, polish, renew and fortify my faith, - even the gift of faith, - that it would never waver or weaken, but ever and always LOOK TO THEE in full confidence
and childlike TRUST.

Next I take THE MIGHTY SWORD OF THE SPIRIT, - WHICH IS THE WORD OF GOD, - and I choose to take that sword as a weapon to destroy the works of the evil one and to set captives free. Anoint my mind, my heart, and my lips, Heavenly Father, that I would speak Your Word with much power and authority and Love in order to bless and build-up Your people and Your Kingdom, ... and to tear-down the strongholds of the enemy in wherever it may be found, - whether in the open or hiding from view. Sharpen that two-edged sword upon my lips, O LORD, that I would rightly divide and declare YOUR HOLY WORD to all people at all times. Grant me the Mind of Christ and a word fitly spoken in due season.

Finally, I choose to put on THE GARMENT OF PRAISE TO FULLY REPLACE the spirit of heaviness, - and I make a firm decision TO PRAISE YOU, LORD YESHUA, in all things today, no matter what. - WHATEVER may happen, - whatever may come and go, - I KNOW that You are worthy to receive all glory and honor and praise. And I do praise Thee and thank Thee and worship Thee with my whole heart and soul, now and forever through Jesus Christ, GOD blest forever. Amen.

Heavenly Father, please help me to overcome any sin that may yet cling to my life and soul. Help me, O LORD, to set aside every weight and besetting sin, that I may truly be fully within and abiding in Your Kingdom, now and forever. Grant to me, I pray, Your overcoming grace and power. Grant to me the strength to persevere and overcome,
in the Most High and Holy Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
