The Deepest Reason Why - What Matters Most

why?The reason why I can have hope, is Jesus' resurrected life lives in me (by the Spirit.)
The reason why Jesus can be raised, is that He died the way that He died (sacrificially.)
The reason why Jesus could have died the way that He died, is that He lived as He lived (perfect.)
The reason why Jesus could have lived the way that He lived, is that He came as He came (of the Father.)
The reason why God came as He came ... is the DEEPEST reason WHY ... it is what matters most.

Do you suppose that the reason is because He was lonely ... and wanted companionship?
Did He need us, so He created what He needed, as if He could lack something?

The answer is plain in scripture, but often overlooked. It is true that God does love us, and does take pleasure in us ... but that is not why He created everything, and planned the Lamb of God to be crucified before the foundation of the world. Once you see the reason why, you will see it all over the Bible and recognize it at every turn ...

[More:]

Psalm 23:3
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

1 Samuel 12:22
For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people.

Psalm 31:3
For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me.

Psalm 106:8
Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.

Psalm 143:11
Quicken me, O LORD, for thy name's sake: for thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble.

Ezekiel 20:44
And ye shall know that I am the LORD when I have wrought with you for my name's sake, not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.

Matthew 10:22
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved

1 John 2:12
I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.

Psalm 113:3
From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD's name is to be praised.

Isaiah 48:9
For my name's sake will I defer mine anger, and for my praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off.

Psalm 148:13
Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.

For those that bristle at the idea that all of this is about His name, and what matters most ... the deepest reason for creation, revelation, redemption, etc. is that God wants to establish His name ... the problem you might see God as a "glory hog." He just wants all the glory.

I only have one thing to say to anyone that might have a problem with it ... I am glad there won't be any people with complaints against it in the New Jerusalem messing it up for the rest of us.

Hey Trent,

The glory hog in me won't be there either, she will be long dead by the time we meet our groom. All brides have to diet before the big day and I'm on a strict diet of Jesus. He is the only one by which that hog can be starved away! tee!hee!

Kurt, question not your worthiness, rather question if you are forgiven, and if you have come to full repentance. ~ God [Letters from God and His Christ - Volume 1 - Those Whom the Lord Has Cleansed Are Now Clean Now, and Worthy of the Kingdom]
