Resting In Glory

Christ in me. Believe! Now, Christ in you. This is our mutual hope of glory. Jesus, the only hope of glory for sinners. Jesus who died for all of the sins of all and yet, He lives that we might also live in Him. We who at the moment of belief, though worthless sinners all, are flooded with God's glory as our sins are washed away by Jesus blood and all of our sins are cast away as far as the east is from the west in the mind of God. When God looks upon those of us in Christ, He sees Jesus for Jesus lives in the hearts of those who the Father has given to Him.

Hebrews 2:9-11 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone. For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the author of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren,

In Jesus, sinners have become brothers by the power of the One Who has made Himself brother to us all. In Jesus is our common purpose, to willingly participate in the glory of God. His glory is not won by our own good works but in the works appointed to us in Christ that can only be accomplished by our resting in Him.

Hebrews 4:7-11 again He designates a certain day, saying in David, "Today, after such a long time, as it has been said: "Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts." For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.

God, Who is eternal and sits outside of time, has completed His work and He is resting. We too may enter that same rest by ceasing from striving for our own glory by our own works and instead, resting in the glory of God as the good works He has appointed to reach their predetermined end are fulfilled in our lives. There is no wonderful work that we might accomplish in our own effort that will earn us favor with God in which we may glory. Our glory is in full surrender to Jesus, who lives in us, and the seeking of God's glory in what-so-ever we eat or drink or our hands find to do; we are simply to do them all, great and small, to the glory of God. There is no greatness required of us, only the simplicity of our lives lived out in humble obedience to Him. God's Will shall be done and our joy is in being full participants in His glory as we cease from seeking our own.

Christ in me and Christ in you, this our mutual hope of glory. Jesus fill us with your Spirit as we are also filled with the fullness of your glory. Jesus, come what may, be fully glorified in us today.

He has sinned as you have, as all have, and is forgiven equally to you and those who have sinned. Even those who have sinned greater or lesser than Timothy are forgiven equally of My Covenant. All sin is sin and requires forgiveness leading to salvation. ~ Jesus [Letters from God and His Christ - Volume 2 - Harken to Those Who God Has Sent to You, For They Prepare the Way of Christs Coming and Will Guide Many Out of the Storm and Many More Through the Storm]
