Welcome To Lisa And The Jesus Chorus

Welcome, Lisa! I was so excited to see your name listed as a contributor to GraceHead.

I have assigned bird personas to all of us here at Gracehead. Trent is a meadowlark, with a happy celebratory song of Jesus. Bud is a scholarly owl teaching us exactly 'Who' Jesus is. I am a mourning dove singing the Hope that is Jesus amid the sorrows of life. I can't wait to hear your song of Jesus and am excited to have another female voice as together, each in our own unique way sing, Jesus!

You go girl!

Morning dove,

Thanks for welcoming our new contributor. It is a fine thing to roll out the red carpet for another fellow GraceHead.

Y'all are too kind! I feel very honored to be able to share my thoughts of our Savior with other like minded believers. Just watching/reading different things from all of you have taught me so much.

It's so wonderful to see how God has just orchestrated this whole deal together..i think this is just one more way that He lets us know that He DOES want us to have fellowship with kindred spirits and not just out in left field all by our lonesome..

Love in Him

Hey Lisa,

I can't wait to find out what kind of bird you are. I think you might be a Robin that always brings the first promise of Spring, like the new life that is in Jesus.

A hot coal burning alone is not as effective was when burning with other hot embers.

This is going to be fun!

Love,
Pam

Hey Pam!
I like the sound of the Robin! I was scared you were gonna have to name me after a parrot--just goes around squawking all the time :oP LOL!

And YES! A hot coal is MUCh more effective when placed with other coals. Of course, God will put us where He wants us, but even the writer of Hebrews says we shouldn't forsake coming together. Of course, this has been interpreted by several that we must 'go to church' on a given day(s) each week. But really? When two or more are gathered (even via Internet) He is in our midst. Because He lives in us! One coal doesn't do any noticeable cooking, but put a whole bunch together, and with the Light from our Saviour, there's cooking to be done! I suspect they'll be cooking up of encouragement, exhortation and psalms from our heart to the other heart :o)

I like that analogy! I'll have to put it with Trent's car analogy and borrow them on occassion ;)
Love,
Lisa

Kurt, question not your worthiness, rather question if you are forgiven, and if you have come to full repentance. For what the Lamb has washed in His blood, is now worthy of the Kingdom. For you are saved by grace through faith, this not of yourself. Neither by your works are you saved, lest you should boast. All men fall short of glory. Therefore, did I send My Son in your stead, to take the burden of your sin. For your belief in Him and obedience to Him have placed you at His right hand in the Day to come. ~ God [Letters from God and His Christ - Volume 1 - Those Whom the Lord Has Cleansed Are Now Clean, and Worthy of the Kingdom]
