Am I starting to see a trend here?

  • "The sky and the earth ( the universe, the world) will pass away, ..."- Jesus (Luke 21:33)
  • "... the earth and the works that are upon it will be burned up" - Peter (2 Peter 3:10)
  • "... the former earth had passed away (vanished), and there no longer existed any sea." - John (Revelation 21:1)
  • "For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. - Jesus (Matthew 5:18)
  • "Heaven and earth will pass away,..." - Jesus (Matthew 24:35)

So much for the materialistic "cosmic salvation" ...

John 18:36
Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world. ..."

Yes,it will be burned up. You don't understand me, Trent. I don't deny any of that but my view is greatle expanded. All that is material, caranal, perishable, will be burnt up and then that which is spiritual, imperishable will be put on. There will be a New Heaven and a New Earth. It just doesn't happen during Armegeddon!

I'm frustrated.

Jesus is right, His Kingdom is not of this world. You're not hearing me on that either. His Kingdom will be established here by Himself when He returns from Heaven and those who will be with Him will not be of this earth neither, they will be the redeemed of the Lord.

"And the redeemed of the Lord shall return and come unto Zion with everlasting joy upon their heads. There will be singing and sorrow and mourning shall flee away."

"..the earth and the works that are upon it will be burned up" (2 Peter 3:10)
I agree with you on this Pam. I believe all the priceless art at the Vatican,Louve and the MET will be torched also. Most of mans accomplishments are nothing more than a reflection of his own pride, vanity and complete corrupt nature."All of mans righteousness is as a filthy rag to God".

1ST Corinthians 15
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 But when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

Let us never forget that Christ is not returning to America the pitiful to set up his Kingdom. And we have a pretty clear idea of what will happen to Kings of the earth (the nations united against God-THE UNITED NATIONS,which I believe will include us)and their armies that come against him.God has to purge this place of every remnant of mans corruption and rebellion against him when its all over.

Psalm 2
1 Why do the nations rage, And the peoples meditate a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against Jehovah, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bonds asunder, And cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens will laugh: The Lord will have them in derision.
5 Then will he speak unto them in his wrath, And vex them in his sore displeasure:
6 Yet I have set my king Upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 I will tell of the decree: Jehovah said unto me, Thou art my son; This day have I begotten thee.
8 Ask of me, and I will give thee the nations for thine inheritance, And the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
10 Now therefore be wise, O ye kings: Be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Serve Jehovah with fear, And rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the SON, lest he be angry, and ye perish in the way, For his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all they that take refuge in him.

Hi cauchazhin,

There certainly is no refuge but in Him. At Christ's return will be ended the rule of man, by man, under the deception of Satan, the prince of this world. It is Satan's world that will come to an end with Armedgedon. It will be a righteous world established by Jesus Christ and His redeemed. I love to meditate about this Kingdom of Righteousness, that Kingdom that lives now in my heart but will be made sight as the final work of Jesus Christ on earth is accomplished in preperation for the Eternal State. I try to imagine how it will be in a world where righteousness rules, so different from our own. One thing I know, is this will be no political kingdom of man and praise God, there'll be no more politicians! Amen?

Pam,

I suppose that I am so heavenly minded, that I have become no eartly good.
:-(

Well, I am starting to think that you are equating the doctrine of a millenium with that of the Kingdom.
By virtue of the very word mellenium, we are talking about something temporal (1000 years in length.) Yet it is clear that the Kingdom is something entirely different. The Kingdom is not 1000 years long. The Kingdom of God is Eternal (which means that there is no point in time when it began, nor ends.)

Do you suppose that we are butting heads because you are talking about something temporal (called the "millenium"), and not really talking about the Kingdom at all?

Ripening for the harvest,
