What a Kick in the GraceHead!

Budz Buzz

Recently, Trent suggested that I sign up as an Internet resource where people ask questions about Christianity and Jesus and the the Christian life ... you get my drift ... applying the love and grace of Christ to the hearts of people.

During the email interview process they asked me a question, that I hadn't been asked for a long time. It seemed to take no time at all to finish and only needed a couple of edits, instead of the 100 or so as usual.

What I wrote surprised me, even shocked me, not because it was eloquent prose, or I solved the unified field theory. What stunned me was the simplicity of each thought and the impact of what all of those thoughts together meant to me, personally.

I get the impression that this is a crossroads of sort for me, where the Lord got my attention in a big way through an unexpected way. I guess I really needed to know where my heart was at that moment. So here goes ...

Good Morning, Bud,

I know a young man going through terribly difficult circumstances and trying to raise two young girls on his own. Most would be overcome by what he faces daily but instead his trials have drawn him so close to God that he literally glows with Jesus! I saw him recently and asked how he was doing and I think his reply nicely and simply sums up what you are saying here: "Life stinks, but God is so good!"

Wow, Bud... deep thoughts there. Thank you for sharing your heart with all of the "Whosoever wills" that pass by this site.

I had to smile at the beginning... Trent suggested you be an internet resource?? *Ahem*.. I thought you WERE an internet resource!! ;) Goodness knows I come running to you everytime I have a teacher/Grace situation. You've been a Godsend, and I am very thankful.

It's amazing how God works things together so that the body of Christ is helping one another, amid it's strengths and weakenesses (not that Christ has any weaknesses, but you know what I mean) Christ is our Head-in fact, He is our LIFE...our very heartbeat.

Another dear friend once told me that God wasn't something to be prioritized, but rather, He 'is' our life. He is the very reason we draw breath. We can leave the prioritizing to tasks and chores. Jesus no longer comes 'first'in my life, He simply IS my life..

Bud, you're a precious gem--thanks! :)
