A friend of mine, who continues to grow in the grace of God, sends me prayers from time to time. I thought this one was exceptional and added some extras. The next time you feel yourself at the business end of deadly tradition, pull this one up.
Father,
Sometimes we exchange the freedom You gave us in Christ, for the traditions of men. When we do, we get in trouble and we defend ourselves by pridefully depending upon our own power.
Because our strength is never enough, we become overwhelmed. Thank you for the conviction of the Holy Spirit, who moves us to repentance of such foolishness and sets us upon the right path again
By Your power through Your Son, You freed us from death - the curse of the Law and of man-made traditions. Strengthen us to resist discrediting You, when we're tempted to abandon the freedom Jesus bought at so great a price.
Thank you Father, that we are freed from living in fear and lies, in timidity and bondage, in sin and ignorance.
Thank you Father, that You have blessed us with every blessing Your children need. We have been so richly and abundantly blessed for all eternity in Christ Jesus.
Amen
Have a blessed Thanksgiving Day in the Lord Jesus Christ, and let His light shine brightly through you.

Kurt, question not your worthiness, rather question if you are forgiven, and if you have come to full repentance. For what the Lamb has washed in His blood, is now worthy of the Kingdom. For you are saved by grace through faith, this not of yourself. Neither by your works are you saved, lest you should boast. All men fall short of glory. Therefore, did I send My Son in your stead, to take the burden of your sin. For your belief in Him and obedience to Him have placed you at His right hand in the Day to come. ~ God [Letters from God and His Christ - Volume 1 - Those Whom the Lord Has Cleansed Are Now Clean, and Worthy of the Kingdom]
